Alastair Dickson passed away peacefully in Balhousie Care Home Pitlochry on Saturday 22nd November 2025, where he had been looked after so well by the staff there over the last 5 weeks.
The thanksgiving service will take place on Thursday 18th December at 11am in Pitlochry Baptist Church. Thereafter the burial will be at Fonab Cemetery, followed by a buffet in the Baptist Church Centre.
Alastair moved to Pitlochry in 1983 to marry his late wife, Margaret. He was involved in umpteen organisations over the years, and his many friends are cordially invited to the funeral to pay their last respects. No flowers please, a collection will be taken to help with funeral expenses. The remaining funds to be shared between Christian Aid and the Baptist Church Storehouse Foodbank.
A wonderful human being...Always got a big hug when we were staying at Atholl Centre. May he rest in peace.
Alistair, what a good man. Its been my pleasure knowing you since 2015. Like so many others, I am well aware of the amazing contribution you've made to Pitlochry & its Community..we will truly miss you my friend.
